Biography

W. Reid Norman is a fourth-year medical student at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, currently completing clinical rotations at Decatur-Morgan Hospital, Alabama. He has a strong interest in PM&R, particularly neurorehabilitation. In Summer of 2026, Reid will matriculate as a DO and begin his preliminary medicine internship at OhioHealth-Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He is committed to integrating multidisciplinary care and rehabilitation strategies to optimize functional outcomes for patients with complex neuromuscular conditions.

Research Interests: Neurorehabilitation and rare neuromuscular disorders, sequelae of SARSCoV- 2 infection, complex surgical case management, gut microbiome influences on health, and opioid-related outcomes in rural populations.
